Dr. Johnnie Woodson is an assistant professor of dermatology at the University of Nevada School of Medicine and the University Medical Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. A graduate of Wayne State University School of Medicine, he completed his dermatology residency at M.L. King-Drew Medical Center.
He has been associated with the National Medical Association for over 20 years. His area of focus is on inflammatory and auto immune diseases such as psoriasis and the severe comorbidities such as myocardial infarction, diabetes, inflammatory bowel disease, depression, metabolic syndrome, hearing loss and others affecting all skin types.
Throughout the country, Dr. Woodson lectures to dermatologists, family and general practice groups on the advances in dermatology and treatment of psoriasis and related diseases.
He currently gives over 100 educational lectures a year in North America and Europe. J. Woodson Dermatology & Associates also conducts numerous clinical trials for new treatments of skin conditions every year.
He is committed to increasing the number of African American physicians nationwide as well as those who are directly involved in clinical trials.
